He added that the total demand for induction furnaces is also five million tonnes a year, some of which is provided through scrap metal and another through other sponge iron producing units.
According to the official, the company quotes large units at the beginning of each year, but this year we asked the Ministry of Industry and Steel to determine the quota for large units, induction furnaces and exports.
"This year, our sponge iron products have been supplied to all 120 induction units of the country, arc furnaces, as well as large units such as Mobarka steel, alloy steel, Pasargad steel and Hormozgan steel," he said.
